The Mere Mile, 12 September 2020
We have teamed up with Swimfinity to host an open water swim to raise vital funds. The one mile open water swim challenge will be held at The Mere in Ellesmere on Saturday 12th September from 1pm until 4pm.

Story

I am taking part in an open water swim event, the Mere Mile to raise vital funds for the benefit the League of Friends to the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry.

The incredible skill of the surgeons, nursing staff, physios etc at "The Orthopaedic" has made a huge difference to the lives of my daughter and my Dad and I was very excited to hear of this new way to support them, having recently taken up open water swimming.

The League of Friends give essential support for patients, relatives and staff by providing services, organising volunteers, funding equipment, issuing grants and being at the heart of wellbeing for RJAH. The pandemic has proved challenging for the charity and our support is needed now more than ever. Any donation would be gratefully received. Together we can make a difference. To find out more about the event visit: https://mailchi.mp/24b0d6007bad/mere-mile
