ABOUT ME:
My name is Alisha Palmowski and I am a 16 year old female racing driver. I previously competed for 6 years in various karting series on a national basis and experienced success during that time. In November 2021 I won the prestigious Ginetta Junior Scholarship meaning I competed in the 2022 Ginetta Junior Championship which was a support series to the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). For 2023 I will be continuing in the Ginetta Junior Championship that now moves over to the SRO British GT paddock, as a support series for the first time and will be contested over 8 race weekend, with 2 of these being Ginetta only festivals. .
As part of my motorsport journey I became an ambassador for Chequered Flag Motorsport (www.chequeredflagmotorsport.com) in 2021 who raise funds for various charities by hosting motorsport themed events. As a natural progression I was delighted to be aligned with the Support Dogs charity (www.supportdogs.org.uk) and am now a young sporting ambassador for them also. This is a great natural fit as I am a huge dog lover and have my own pet Shih Tzu dog, Pip.
I am proud to be incorporating the Support Dogs logo on my Ginetta junior race car and race suit again during the 2023 season.

MORE ABOUT SUPPORT DOGS:
For those that may not be aware, Support Dogs are a national charity dedicated to increasing independence and quality of life for people with various medical conditions. They provide, train and support specialist assistance dogs to achieve this.
Support Dogs specialise in three specific programmes:
- Autism assistance dogs for children with autism. The dogs are trained to provide safety for the child and reduce stress in social environments.
- Seizure alert dogs for people with epilepsy. The dogs are trained to provide a 100% reliable, up to 50 minute warning prior to the onset of an epileptic seizure. This enables the client to find safety and be in control over their seizure, allowing them a much more independent life.
- Disability assistance dogs for people with physical disabilities. The client's own pet dog is trained to perform tasks which are specifically tailored to their individual needs, providing them with greater independence and safety.
Established in 1992, Support Dogs works across England, Scotland and Wales and provides all it's services entirely free of charge to those in need of them. However the charity relies solely on voluntary donations and receives no government funding.
Support Dogs are proud that 1 in 4 of the dogs they train come to them from rescue centres or as unwanted pets.
