Event: Great North Run 2021, on 12 September 2021
The Great North Run is one of the UK's biggest events and an amazing way to support the Mental Health Foundation.

Story

In 2020 I will be taking part in running the great north run to raise money for the Mental Health Foundation. In Britain one in four people are affected by mental illness each year however there is still a stigma surrounding this issue which Mental Health Foundation aim to put an end to. This is a charity which is close to home as living in Hartlepool I have witnessed first hand the effect poor mental health can have on young people. Suicide rates in Hartlepool are now considered an urgent public health issue so please donate or share to help those who are struggling to get the help they need and deserve.

The Mental Health Foundation believe no-one living in the UK should be deprived of the opportunity for good mental health because of who they are, the community they come from or where they live. We’re developing better ways to support good mental health in every community.
