Fundraising for Guide Dogs
Story
On Sunday 24th March 2019 I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on behalf of Guide Dogs. It will be my first marathon ever and I’m very excited! I have started my training and I’m hoping to keep you all updated with my developments. Any contribution towards my end goal it will be very much appreciated.
Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.
Today Guide Dogs is the world's largest breeder and trainer of working dogs. And thanks to their dedicated staff and volunteers – and vital donations – they’ve helped over 29,000 people to achieve life-changing independence.
Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
