On the 6th April 2025, I will be taking on the challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a cause close to my heart, Alzheimer's Research.

Last June the difficult decision was made to put my grandpa into full time residential care. This has been particularly hard for me to come to terms with given my long work history within care services. There was a time I believed I could have cared for any family member myself, but life changes and that was no longer an option I could pursue.

It has been 6 years since my last half marathon and during that time I have been undergoing the slow recovery process of an ankle injury. It's taken over two and a half years to be walking, let alone running, without pain!
