Event: Virgin London Marathon 2011, on 17 April 2011
We provide family-led care and support to children with life-limiting conditions

Story

I was unexpectedly offered a place in the London Marathon to raise funds for Martin House Children's Hospice after someone had to withdraw. It now seems appropriate to do this in memory of Nana Bessie, who visited Martin House for their Open Day last autumn and was very impressed! Nana passed away January 2011, aged 96.

Working on the Care Team at Martin House, I know first hand how much this wonderful place relies on fundraising and kind donations. Any sponsorship would be greatly appreciated.

I'm struggling through injuries with the training, but am determined to finish and do the best I can.
