Story
Not many people know that when I was a newborn baby I had to have a complete blood transfusion otherwise I would die.
Without charities like Action Medical Research vital research work just wouldn't happen.
I am taking part in 'Race The Sun' - an extremely tough mental and physical challenge (together with three friends) where we will start at dawn - cycling around the hills/mountains of Wales, navigate a course on Lake Llangorse in canoes and finally climb to the summit of Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons with an altitude of 886m, to raise money for this incredible cause. We have to finish before the sun sets!
Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. At Action Medical Research we are determined to stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability.
By supporting us, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
With your help, we're determined to make a real difference to children's lives. Please give whatever you can - large or small. Thank you.
