Cohen's Fight is a Special Named Fund at CCLG raising funds for research into alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

Story

We are raising funds for Cohen's Fight at CCLG to support research into alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.

Cohen was just 4 years old when he was devastatingly diagnosed with stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma back in may 2020 and is still currently undergoing treatment, making us all incredibly proud everyday.

After months of gruelling chemotherapy, numerous radiotherapy sessions, surgery and not to mention countless hospital admissions for infections and platelet/blood transfusions, we as a family have witnessed first hand the heartbreaking effects that this diagnosis and treatment can have.

Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma is a rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer, with fewer than 60 children being diagnosed in the Uk each year. Due to this, such little funding and progress has been made to change the prognosis for those children diagnosed. That is why we are battling to find a cure and better (less harsh) treatments for children with rhabdomyosarcoma by helping to fund critical research.

As a group we have decided to challenge ourselves by taking part in Tough Mudder UK, something that is completely out of our comfort zones (to say the least), but will be nothing compared to the battle that those with cancer have to fight daily.

Any donations or support will be greatly appreciated x
