Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Update: Along with 2000 other people, I took part in the first-ever Great North Swim on 13 September - a 1 mile course in Lake Windermere. Although I had to be fished out by a rescue kayak before reaching the finish line (MS-related breathing and hypothermia problems), it was a fantastic day, and one I would recommend to anyone fancying doing a sponsored swim in the future.
Many of us were swimming in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, who help anyone in need of palliative care and their families in the last stages of life. And, with our support, researchers are finding more effective treatments. It was nice to meet the local branch, who were running a stall providing very welcome hot drinks!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Many, many thanks to all who have already sponsored me, and to everyone else, It's not too late to become a sponsor!
