In 2021, Mum (aka Janey-Babe), was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This came as a total shock, and completely knocked our family for six. 

For many of you who know my mum, she is the strongest woman there is - taking on many physical challenges in her life, whether that be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or completing an Iron Man. However, nothing can really prepare you for a diagnosis like this. Mum being mum, however, she took Cancer by the balls and fought her way through rounds of chemo, unexpected infections, and radiotherapy with absolute grace. 

Thankfully in 2022, mum was able to stop treatment and she is doing amazingly. 

I am running to celebrate mum and the many women who are impacted and affected by Breast Cancer.
