This page is to honour Alice, who passed away from septicaemia in March this year at the age of 8.  She was an intelligent vibrant person who had a huge impact on all who knew her, and I hope she would think this a fitting tribute.  I am launching this site live on 23rd Nov, which would have been her 9th birthday, and hope to raise some money on an annual basis in her memory.

MRF funds research into both meningitis and septicaemia, aiming to improve survival rates and also outcomes.  These are conditions that occur randomly with out warning, and can rapidly prove fatal.  Those that do survive are often left with lifelong difficulties and many need long term support.  I feel this is a vital area of research and even a small donation may go some way to helping patients avoid these outcomes in the future.
