New Avenues proudly offers programs and resources to address the unique barriers and challenges facing our LGBTQIA+ youth. This includes the Sexual & Gender Minority Youth Resource Center (SMYRC) as well as integrated, culturally-specific case management services. Regardless of the specific need, New Avenues is committed to providing safe, harassment-free spaces and relationships for these young people to be their best selves. The New Avenues Ambassador Board is celebrating Portland Pride this year by raising critical resources and awareness for our LGBTQIA+ youth. Many of these young people are making their voices heard by joining Black Lives Matter protests and events, working hard to make lasting change and reform in response to victims of police violence. Together we can help create a better future for all Portlanders.
