Hello 😊
I’m Alice and I’m going to be completing a 5k race in September to raise money for Dementia UK.
5k probably sounds easy for some however I have not ran in about 7 years and I have the fitness level of a slug so this is going to be a challenge for me. I’d also describe my running style to that of Phoebe from friends. But hey, I thought I’d give it a go to raise some money for an important charity (and hopefully get a bit healthier and fitter along the way!)
Dementia UK is an amazing charity both close to my work and now personal life. At the age of 62 my Mum has just received a diagnosis of young onset dementia. Dementia U.K. support families and carers of people affected by dementia. You can read more about the work they do here: https://www.dementiauk.org/about-us/
I am going to be completing the race alongside my Mum, Annette and Sister, Jess.
Mum - you are an inspiration to us all. You are coping so well and really demonstrating what it’s really like to live well with dementia. ♥️
We are all here for you, Mum and Dad.
Thank you in advance for any sponsors you are able to give. Whatever you can afford will be more than enough!
Thank you! Xx
