Story
Hello, my name is Alice Burch and I ran 60 marathons in 60 consecutive days from 01/10/15 to 29/12/15 in partnership with Active Nation Outdoor Sports Centre. I also ran Lordshill 10, Gosport Half and the Bournemouth Marathon as part of my miles/challenge.
I am encouraging everyone from the couch potatoes to the seasoned exercises goers to take part in my national challenge "making the nation active", in partnership with Active Nation.
60:60 Challenge:

All you need to do is exercise for 60 minutes everyday for 60 days! This could be a slow dog walk everyday or a gym class or a run or a bike ride! You track your own exercises and know you have accomplished something great! Please share all your photos and weekly training on my page: www.facebook.com/Alice6060.

The money makes such a real difference helping animals who work every single day of their lives without rest in terrible conditions as the families living in poverty try to make a living just for food. Animals have no voice and need our help to protect them and educate others around them for safekeeping. The Spana money goes to great use and every penny really does save lives. I hope the money we raise together helps lots of deprived areas where animals are seen as mere tools of the trade. Imagine our streets filled with bloodied horses and injured donkeys - most people would want to feed them carrots, clean their wounds or even stroke them. We need to help others understand what this means; to respect and care for animals.
2015 is going to be year of events - I am competing in the HRRL and CC6 Leagues through Totton Running Club, Olympic Duathlon on 21 February, North Pole Marathon beginning April, Swimathon 5km 17 April, pace runner for ABP Southampton Half Marathon 26 April, Barcelona 70.3 Half Ironman in May and the Copenhagen Ironman in August.
