Have you ever been to Crystal Palace Park? Have you ever SEEN Crystal Palace? It's known as a "Victorian pleasure garden", but who are they fooling... Friends who've run around it have warned me that it's more of a torture garden. Basically it's got hills. Lots of them...

Anyway I love a challenge - and why not in the middle of winter? Did you know that 31,100 people died in England and Wales last winter because of the cold? And the majority of those people were aged 65 and over.

Many of these deaths could be prevented if everyone lived in a warm home, which is why Age UK is calling on politicians to invest the billions of pounds the Government is already raising in carbon taxes to make millions of homes much more energy efficient.

Age UK works hard to campaign for this change and other changes which will improve later life for everyone. It also runs services for older people and provides free information and advice, amongst other things. But to do all of that, it needs people like you to be generous and donate to this very worthwhile cause.

In exchange for your hard-earned cash, I will run faster than I've ever run before! I've done a 10K before and completed it in 59 minutes, but this time I want to do even better and complete it in... 58. Or at least beat my previous time.
