As I'm sure many of you know, my dad became very ill with pneumonia a couple of years ago. At his worst he was in a coma for a couple of weeks and we were told we were going to lose him. Thankfully, despite the odds, he pulled through and we still have our brave and wonderful dad today. After struggling for the last 3 years with repeated bouts of bad health, we have finally been given an answer as to what has caused all of this- Pulmonary Hypertension.

Due to the nature of this condition it remains undetected in so many until it's too late. We are blessed to still have our dad, but many are not so lucky. So for these reasons I am running for the PHA- both to aid their continuous work in to research of the disease, and the support they provide for sufferers and their families. There's not much we can do to let my dad know how proud we are of him and how thankful we are- but hopefully this will go some way!
