Story
I am a Riding for the Disabled coach. Yesterday marked the first session of our sponsored “No Stirrup November” for my wonderfully talented 6pm class! This means for the whole month of November i am not allowing any riding with stirrups! (Aren’t I cruel)
If any of you have tried horse riding you will know it’s no “walk in the park” (don’t take that too literally). Riding without stirrups takes a lot of balance, and strength and is really hard work! This is a big challenge for my 6pm class, but last night they rose to it for day 1 - I’m sure there will be some aching muscles today!
Now this isn’t a pointless exercise - I am now going to plead with you for some money! Our Abingdon group are constantly fundraising to keep running, as well as for an ambitious project to build a new competition size indoor school for practise in the winter months. All of our fundraising from “no stirrup November” will go towards the group and the project
If you would like to sponsor Alfie, Isobel, Michelle and Matilda pleasendonate On this page
PS I’ve got quite a way to go to match the kids efforts so far so please help a coach out so they don’t put me to shame!
