As you may know me and rich lost our beautiful baby Poppy Ella Smith on the 29th December 2016. At 39 weeks pregnant all our hopes and dreams for the future came to a devastating holt when we were told that a heartbeat could not be found our baby had died! The next hours that came were the hardest and most surreal moments of our life's so far. I was induced the next morning and at 1pm contractions started and I was in labour with our angel the staff at James cook were beyond amazing in helping us with what was to come! At 20:25 poppy was born! The midwives bathed her dressed her and did the 4louis memory box. nothing can prepare you for loosing your baby especially when it is so unexpected, the midwives suggested and gave us things we would never dreamed of doing and we are forever greatful to them for giving us the memories that we had with her, we were both in such shock we didn't know what to do!! So thanks so much to all at James cook you truley are amazing! The memory box we were given has really helped treasure what little time and memories we had with our poppy. Nothing and no one can bring our baby back but knowing that we can do something that can help others in this devastating situation makes our heavy hearts a little lighter!! So thank you so much for donating in Poppy's name!
