Story
Dear Friends and Family,
Since 30th December I am running 10k a day to raise money for GIST UK and will be throughout this lockdown - however long it may be.
After home school, come rain, snow, ice or whatever the day brings I will take to the hills (but if illness or an unexpected event means I cannot run I will make up the lost kilometres another day).
I am hoping to raise funds for GIST UK as this was the type of cancer that my brother Harry fought. He died a few weeks ago on 12th December surrounded by his family. Up until the day before his death it seemed like he would come through this blip and bounce back on a new medication. Sadly it was not so, and it still feels very raw and surreal. He was such an incredible father to Rose, Lily and Jack, husband to Delphine, brother to Joan, John and I, uncle, cousin, friend to so many..... He was known and loved by so very many and it seems desperately unfair to lose him, especially as he was so young - just 45.
If you are able to support this mini mission and GIST UK it would be amazing. I hope that every little we can add will help to further the understanding of the disease and expand the treatment options for patients.
Thank you,
Alice x
