Story

So if having three kids and working full time just wasn’t enough I have set myself the challenge this year of running the London Marathon! 🏃‍♀️I have secured a charity place for MS-UK, I hope to raise at least £2,000 for this amazing charity and raise awareness of people struggling with MS.💷

This is going to be a massive challenge for me, Yes I love running but I haven’t done a marathon before so it will be unknown territory for me! For those of you that don’t know I run around 100 miles a month and most of them are done at 5am so keeping this going and adding to it to reach my goal of the marathon in October is going to be hard work !

The reason I wanted to run for MS -UK as my late mother in Law Kath had MS and suffered with it for years, she benefited from going to MS centres for therapies and wanted to raise money for them where she could, so this is for her!

I hope you can all help me reach my target and join me along the journey to 26.2 miles !!

MS-UK is a national charity dedicating to empowering people affected by multiple sclerosis to live happier and healthier lives. We are here for the 130,000 people that have MS, their family and carers. We work to improve the understanding of MS and provide support where it is needed most. Our services include our helpline providing information and emotional support, a national telephone counselling service and a bi-monthly magazine called New Pathways. Everything we do supports people to manage this incurable condition and increase their health and wellbeing.Every donation counts!£50 could pay for a telephone counselling session for someone struggling with their mental health, £200 is the cost of 10 complementary subscriptions to our New Pathways magazine for those who cannot afford it. £2,520 would help us support people through our national MS-UK helpline and web chat for a whole week. Any donation you can make, big or small, will help us sustain our all-important services.
