We support autistic girls and campaign to get earlier diagnosis for girls

Story

A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with autism at 14,  as well as living with Cerebral Palsy all my life. Autism in boys and girls is very different. Girls are four times less likely to be diagnosed than boys. This is because we’re good at hiding it “masking.” Masking your traits means you’re more likely to experience mental illness often not knowing the cause as you’re undiagnosed.

Before being diagnosed with autism I had a very stereotypical view of autism and didn’t realise how vast it really can be, so I understand how hard it can be for neurotypicals, so I am walking 128,263 steps (about 21,000 a week ),  the equivalent of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro over summer, to raise money for Autistic Girls Network that help both me and the public generally have a better understanding of autism.

I hope you have learnt something whilst reading this. Thank you for taking the time to look at this.

Xo Alice💜.
