Story
On Wednesday 2nd September at 8pm, I am putting on an online fundraising concert called 'Showtunes' to raise money for the reopening theatres fund run by the charity 'Theatres Trust'. I think theatre is such a valuable and loved part of our culture and it is a very inspiring place for many people, as well as being a livelihood for so many artists, performers, crew and other theatre staff. I am really keen for theatres to reopen as soon as possible, so I would like to help this happen by raising funds for adapting theatres to make them safe for performances. I hope you would like to contribute to this too, I would really appreciate your support!
About the charity:
Theatres Trust is the national advisory body for all theatres. We believe that current and future generations should have access to good quality theatres where they can be inspired by and enjoy live performance. We champion the future of live performance by protecting and supporting excellent theatre buildings which meet the needs of their communities. We do this by providing advice on the design, planning, development and sustainability of theatres, campaigning on behalf of theatres old and new and offering financial assistance through grants. Last year over 5 million people benefitted from a theatre that the Theatres Trust helped.
