Story
Hello, thanks for visiting my page.
In 2010, my mum Helene died from cancer. She was 50 years old and my best friend, I was only 16. It was the second time she’d been diagnosed with the disease, and it had come back with full force and was now terminal. Over the years since then, I've learnt to hold on to the good memories. I still got 16 years with my mum, and for that, I’ll be forever grateful.
Fast forward to June 2022, I lost my dad Lars too. He was my biggest supporter and a role model when it comes to tackling whatever life throws at you. Together they made sure I knew how to live life to the fullest. In memory of them both, I'm running London Marathon on October 2 in 2022, on what would've been my dad's birthday.
I’ve decided to do it for MacMillan Cancer Support, which provide physical, emotional and financial support to millions of people affected by cancer every year. I know first-hand how important support networks are when your world suddenly falls apart and you hit rock bottom. If it wasn’t for mine, I don’t know where I’d be today, if I’d even be around. MacMillan makes sure you never face cancer alone.
If you want to help families like mine handle the effects of cancer, make sure the ill get the best treatment or motivate me for the toughest physical challenge of my life, then consider donating. It’d really mean a lot.
Thank you.
