In February 2022, I am excited to say I will be volunteering on a Raleigh Expedition. I will be joining young people from around the world to undertake a 10 week programme in Costa Rica. The programme involves a 3 week community project, a 3 week environmental project and a 19 day hike.

Before 31st December 2021, I am aiming to raise £3,800 towards Raleigh International's work. 

To help me reach this fundraising target one of the things I’ll be completing is the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Wednesday 13th October 2021. The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24 miles, and includes 1585m of ascent, taking on the peaks of Whernside, Pen-y-ghent and Ingleborough in under 12 hours. 

I chose to volunteer with Raleigh International because it is a youth-driven sustainable development charity who inspire communities and young people around the world to create lasting change. It's programmes focus on providing access to safe water and sanitation, protecting vulnerable environments, creating sustainable livelihoods, building resilient communities and ensuring young people are connected, valued partners in development.
