Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm sure most of you have laughed at the thought of me walking any considerable distance, let alone all the way to work, but as you're here, you may as well read the hard-sell and donate... :-)
The 'Futures for Kids Walk to Work' will kick off at 6am (no partying the night before!) and will see me join friends and colleagues from the futures, options and foreign exchange communities walk 10, 20 and 35 miles for this great cause. I am going to attempt to walk 20 miles - it is my first year! (And on 4th May I found out that it is actually 23 miles! Got to be worth some sponsorship!)
I am 'Walking to Work' on 18th May 2012 for a number of reasons:
1) It's a great organisation to be involved with, and the money raised will directly benefit four fantastic children's charities; I'd like to play a part in beating the amount raised last year!
2) I saw my colleagues in the aftermath of last years' walk and thought their blisters looked extremely attractive and decided I'd get some for myself!
3) I see this as a massive personal challenge so the more people who sponsor me, the more I will raise and therefore, the more pressure I have to actually finish!
4) The competitive side of my nature also wants to raise as much money as possible!
5)I am the youngest in the office and therefore have been told that I have no excuse not to (!).
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks, Alice.
