Story
Alice and Ros are off on a trike adventure on Thursday 28th May to raise money for HDSF. Alice is going to ride as much of the Letchworth Greenway as she can, and Ros is going to attempt the whole thing on a trike. With many width restrictions on route it will be tight, but our expert driving I'm sure will get us through!
Alice is one of our amazing HDSF team, usually found helping with dance, boccia and archery sessions at Leyden Day Service on a Monday with the team.
Herts Disability Sports Foundation is currently doing all of its sessions online, with small groups of people who need a little bit extra support to access physical activities. All sessions are adapted to meet the needs of the individual, whether that be sitting or standing, or just some extra encouragement to keep engaged. The technology gap has proved a challenge over the past 8 weeks, and we have been delighted to be able to purchase and deliver 19 iPads, out to people who have no access to the technology needed to see their friends and family. We are also looking at getting back outside this summer, specifically with our 1-1 adapted cycling offer and trike library. We currently have 8 trikes out with our HDSF friends, who borrowed them for the lockdown, to make getting out and active more fun for the whole family.Any more raised will help us to do even more!
