I'm do this partly for personal bucket list challenge as its pushing me personally. I've chosen Alzheimer's society as my nan had dementia and I has first hand experienced watching her decline from a once loved strong independent lady who taught me loads to a thin, weak persona who lost her soul. She would've hated going into a home but eventually we had no choice as with some family support and 3 15min visits a day from care team it proved too much, too stressful, dangerous and need round the clock care.
I've through work supported many with different types of dementia and worry I too one day may suffer this slow deteriorating undignified disease. If raising money helps in any way to fund research or treatments then that can only be a positive move forward.
you too could require care or be in a care home.... every little helps, I don't like to ask for money but would love any donation, even if just a pound, I am so so very grateful
