We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Hi my name is Ali I'm 40 years old and
I've been wanting to climb kilimanjaro for Alzheimers research for the
past few years but due to the pandemic this has pushed it back a bit but finally the deposit is down and Angela and myself are finally on our way doing this amazing adventure for an amazing cause.

I am climbing Kilimanjaro October this year for Alzheimers research UK I chose this Charity as I know firsthand how Alzheimers can affect the day to day life of individuals that have it and how it affects their family and friends too here are some statistics of why this is such a good cause.

More than half of UK adults know someone who has been diagnosed with dementia.

Globally,  the numbers of people living with dementia will increase from 50m in 2018 to 152m 2050, a 204% increase.

The cost of dementia is expected to almost double by 2050, from £25bn in 2021 to £47bn in 2050.

So let's help Alzheimers research get the funding they need to help many others going through dementia and make sure they are getting the support they need.

Please be generous and thank you for your donations.

Many thanks
Ali
