Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I can collect money until 6 October so it's not too late to sponsor me!
I did indeed manage the whole distance and something about the horrible, continuing ache in my legs and my constant desire to lie down for a bit, suggests to me that I also did run as fast as I could (once we got past the walkers!). And even better, neither of us fell over, even when we jumped the barrier a couple of times to get some space! Sorry to say I can't give you a time as the start was hectic so my watch time was inaccurate. There was no chip time for this event.
Anyway, thanks so much to all of you who have sponsored me. I'm touched by your generosity and support for such a small feat.
Ange and I, and our families, had such a great day that we started planning our next run (10k this time) but I've since come back down to earth and think I'll wait a year or two, when hopefully I'll have recovered!
Of course I was bound to chose GOSH as my charity, it's possible Paul and I always will, and I'm sure it's no surprise to any of you. We will be foever in awe of the magic they do to save children's lives when there really is no other hope. It's already 3 years since they did this for our daughter Tahlia and we will benefit from what GOSH do for the rest of her life.
