Story
Walking our socks off...
On 11th and 12th of September this year we will be walking non-stop for 24 hours for 2 charities dear to our hearts, Aching Arms and The Forget Me Not Suite at Bath RUH Hospital.
We will be walking in memory of our angel twins taken too soon, Georgiana and Henrietta, born sleeping on 8th June 2020.
Sadly what we experienced happens too often and we weren’t even aware this could happen this way.
By raising awareness of premature birth we hope this will give comfort to others who have experienced the trauma and heartache...knowing that there are people and Charities who can help and do an incredible job supporting.
Aching Arms were there for us. When you are at your lowest and darkest of times without the little ones you have longed for, their support gave us great comfort.
The Forget Me Not Suite at RUH Bath was somewhere for us to be away from the main hub of the Hospital and allowed us some quiet, reflective and very well supported time with our girls.
We have thought about many ways to remember our girls and at the same time raise money these special charities. We wanted to do something that friends and families could be involved with as well.
So by doing this, you can walk with us for part of the 24hrs, be there at the end, or donate any amount to help these wonderful causes.
{With my dodgey knees and Alis bad back, running a Marathon would not be wise for our bodies unfortunately}
We are strong together but any help from family & friends will spur us on just like it has over the last year.
No one’s story is the same, perhaps you or a loved one has gone through something similar, but by talking about these experiences it can give you strength to know you can get through and grow from it.
We are eternally grateful for all who have shared this journey so far with us.
