Hi! I’m taking on a Kilt Walk to raise funds for the World Scout Jamboree in Korea 2023.
The World Scout Jamboree is held once every 4 years. The camp is the 25th one of its kind and is the biggest gathering of people involved in Scouting, developing international friendships, global awareness and promoting the UN sustainable goals for climate change.
I am proud to have been selected for Unit 3, the Tartan Tigers, which is a group of 36 young people and 4 adults from across North East Scotland and the Highlands and Islands region. We will facilitate the the young people joining 3240 Scouts from across the UK and approximately 50,000 participants from all over the world. Our fee will support Scouts from less wealthy countries to attend the Jamboree and let their voice be heard alongside Unit 3!
Alongside the 26 mile Kilt walk from Potarch to Aberdeen I will be recording miles walked, biked and ran in preparation, as our team the Tartan Tigers tries to cover the milage from Scotland to South Korea!
Every penny I raise will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation. Thank you for your support
