My mother Leigh was diagnosed with cancer in early January and sadly passed away 3 weeks later after a very brave fight and we are taking part in this event in her memory.  In the last 2 weeks of my mothers life, I was fortunate enough to spend these with her and experience the amazing work the Marie Curie nurses do. She was cared for in the Glasgow/Bishopbriggs Hospice and we could not have wished for a kinder place for her to be. Not only did they provide compassion and care to my mother but also to my father and her children at a very sad time. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we will be forever grateful for their support. Exceptional care for an exceptional lady!  It costs £420 a day to provide this excellent care and we would like to be able to repay this as much as possible by raising funds in this way.  Any amount you sponsor is very welcome no matter how small as this will help to continue to provide the same care to other sufferers and their families during this stressful time.
