Story
Myself, Rowan, Sarah & Sasha (our husky) will be doing the Race for Life virtual 5k (with social distancing) on Saturday 18th July. We have also entered the Great North Run solo event which runs between 28th June and the 13th September in which we all have to log 40 runs/jogs/walks between this period (the reason behind the 40 is that the GNR is now in its 40th year).
We have chosen Sarcoma UK as a charity because my husband Tim, a great friend to so many, passed away November 29th 2019 aged 48.
Renal Cell Sarcomatoid cancer is a rare form and in some
cases, like Tim's, is aggressive and incurable. We want to raise money to help fund research for this horrific and cruel disease.
I never thought this year we would be able to take part in these sort of events; but we are grateful we can, and know that Tim would be so proud of Rowan, Sarah myself and Noah who comes along in his buggy.
Thank you for visiting my page.I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.Thank you for your support.
