Story
We have decided to take on the biggest challenge either of us have ever done by running 26.2 miles. Last year we were spectators at the London Marathon and we were overwhelmed by every runner we saw. That evening we both decided to give it a go and we managed to get a place with BCRT.
We want to raise money in memory of Alex Lewis, my husband who passed away in 2011 following a long battle with osteosarcoma. Alex was diagnosed when he was 17 and exceeded doctors expectations by battling with the cancer for 4 years. Alex and I were lucky enough to get married on the 12th February 2011, but 5 days later he passed away. Alex wanted to raise awareness for this amazing charity, so we have been doing this in his memory since he died. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated, this is a huge challenge for both of us.
You can still see the documentary made about Alex's life on youtube

BCRT's mission is to save lives and improve outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer by being the catalyst for pioneering research, a trusted source of information, the voice of the primary bone cancer community and a supportive network for the people affected.
Each year around 380 people in England alone will develop primary bone cancer and it is unusual as it can affect children, adolescents, young adults and the elderly alike.
