Two years ago my friends and I were 'secretly' fundraising in Damascus, Syria to buy food, clothes and medications that we were later smuggling to the city of Homs. The situation in Syria was very bad, however, I've never expected that in 2014 the number of displaced Syrian people will reach over 10.8 million - half of them are children.
Syria's children are forced to leave schools due to security concerns and/or financial responsibility -- a 12-year-old child might find himself responsible to support his younger siblings. Needless to mention that school leavers are more vulnerable to be military used. Children belong to their classrooms not front-lines.
I'm running on the 13th of September to fund-raise for Mosaic Initiative and to give Syrian children hope. A hope for a better future where they are armed with science and art rather than guns and knives.
One of Mosaic Initiative projects is Anamel (Anamel is an initiative to support Syrian students in some of the worst hit regions)
Today I have the luxury to fund-raise 'publicly' and I trust your generosity to reach an amount of £5000. Help me to save the Syrian children, together we can.
