Story
A group of friends are embarking on a journey to cycle from London to Cambridge On Friday 24th July, in order to raise funds for Yemen In'sha'Allah.
Yemen is suffering from the worst humanitarian crisis in the last 100 years. They are currently fighting off an Epidemic (cholera), Pandemic (COVID-19), Famine and a War. Yemen is at risk of being extinct.
Allah (swt) refers to Yemen as a blessed and good land that has a Forgiving Lord (34:15). The Qur’an refers to Yemen at different points in history, such as at the time of Hud (as), the time of Sulaiman (as), and the time of Muhammad (saw). Allah (swt) also describes the people of Yemen as “…a people He loves, and they love Him…” (Qur’an, 5:54).
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ’The best of men are the men of Yemen, belief is Yemeni and I am Yemeni…’ [Ahmad].
Yemen are particularly dear to the heart of the Prophet (saw). He also expresses an extraordinary love for them, even linking his own bloodline with them. Therefore; it is our duty as humans to make sure we are doing our absolute best to help those suffering and stop Yemen from being extinct. A land so dear to the Prophet (Saw).
We are asking everyone to help us raise funds for Medical Intervention across Yemen working with "Doctors without boarders". Help us aid other families and individuals with their basic rights of medical asistance.
"Doctors without Boarders" is a charity that consists of western medical professionals that work in 12 hospitals and health centres across the country and provide support to more than 20 hospitals or health facilities across 11 governorates.
They have treated over 1,019,679 patients in their emergency room since the start of the conflict in 2015.
They have treated over 116,687 suspected cholera cases treated since the start of the conflict in 2015.
They have also provided 81,102 in surgical interventions since the start of the conflict in 2015.
Lets spread the word and protect our land In'sha'Allah.
