Story

Most of you know that I have been Director of Care at Julia's House for 17 years, some of you may know that I will be retiring for new adventures this summer - the need for support remains though for families facing unimaginable heartbreak - the knowledge that their child may not live into adulthood. Julia’s House provides frequent, flexible care for children with life-limited or life-threatening conditions to give their parents a much-needed break.Amazingly, Julia’s House has to raise 95 per cent of the money it needs each year to run this vital service which is why I have chosen to support them. Your kind sponsorship will make a life-changing difference to these families.

On the 18th March I will be joining Eddie Howe (Bournemouth Football Manager), Martin Edwards (CEO Julia's House) and 7 other business leaders at AFCB to participate in a 2 hour Insanity HIIT workout … let's just say it's not called Insanity for nothing and is normally based on a 30 minute workout … ordinarily this workout is an intense 30 minute but we will be pushing ourselves to the limit for 2 hours.

You are far more likely to have seen me on a bike over the last few years so this type of workout is completely out of my comfort zone and will be one of the biggest challenges I have undertaken … call it my Julia's House last hurrah ...

On the day there will be a live Facebook stream for those of you who want to smile, laugh or take the mick as we grimace and try to survive!!!

Anything you feel compelled and are able to donate will be so gratefully received and will all make a difference.

Thank you :)
