Story

~ SAFA - Save Al Fitrah Academy ~

The Al Fitrah centre was given notice that the building they have been using 'rent free' for nearly 10 years has now been sold and thus we must vacate in the next two months. We need to now ask you to help us facilitate our future centre by raising the funds needed to secure and move into the new location bi'ithnillah ta'ala.

Everyone who knows the Al Fitrah Family knows that we are 100% volunteer run organisation and 100% of what funds we receive are spent upon the projects themselves.
The projects Al Fitrah delivers every single year are countless orphan & widow support through various relief charities depending on country, relief support to disaster and war struck regions through UK registered charities and many charity events bringing the community together for cohesion and truly peaceful Islamic propagation. All the while, Al Fitrah is an academy which has delivered hundreds of courses, seminars, lectures and halqaat with the aims of empowering our youth with sound authentic knowledge of Islam from the pious predecessors who understood it best.

Step 1 - Secure Al Fitrah new location by December, 2012
Step 2 - Source and purchase a perm AF building by 2014

Well let’s start. Lots to do and the hands are just way to few. Please don't be lazy about this and please for the love of Allah don't leave it to someone else. It has to be you and I. We have to pull Al Fitrah through this together.

Let's work hard this month to save Al Fitrah. If we can come together sincerely as believers supporting each other as the hadith describes bricks in a wall, one supporting the other then let’s do this: Reply picking option 1 2 3 or 4.

1. 10 believers raise £1000 each from friends & families.

2. 20 believers raise £500 each from friends & families.

3. 50 believers raise just £100 each from friends & families.

4. or everyone else can just get everyone you know to just give ONE POUND. power by numbers but we all must do it. So pledge that YOU WILL get 100 people you know to give just £1. It is so easy but so hard. Easy because it is just £1 Hard because you might get lazy and not do this.

VERY IMPORTANT - Everyone who uses these features to donate please do not forget the tax money, GIFT AID, which otherwise often is used for WAR. Charity is better spent money.

May Allah grant you all the sincerity, the strength, the ability and the farasa to achieve success, ameen.

We Need your support and here is why...

Al Fitrah... because everyone is born with inate goodness...

"Whatever is with you, will be exhausted, and whatever is with Allah (of good deeds) will remain." [Qur'an - Surah Al-Nahl 16:96]

Everyday of our lives we plan our future, be it what we are doing the next day, or in a years time we make preparations.

Which way life goes is not certain, but death is.. What if you died.... Would it be the end for you, or the beginning? I can't say; our souls are in His hand, but one thing i know is

You decide. Always....

Allah's Messenger [صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم] said: "When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge and righteous offspring who will pray for him." [SahihMuslim: 3084]

We believe everybody is born with inate goodness. Al Fitrah aims to nurture this goodness through the projects we have been dedicated to for over a decade. We have remained small and humble but our projects have been powerful and made an impact with the aim to work sincerely in the cause of bettering our society.

Let our hard work become your on going rewards that you look forward to in the akhirah.

2012 will prove another hard year unless we have the help of those Allah tells us to call upon: "and the believers are an aid to one another".

1) Al Fitrah has undertaken the task to support a women's refuge that was used and discarded by a major muslim organisation after it raised the funds it needed under the pretence of supporting this refuge. We have vowed to protect such small charities and strongly support what we have always believed in: grass roots dawah with sincerity and integrity. We do this via establishing the projects we promise to deliver, instead of being consumed by the zeal of power and growth.

2) Al Fitrah has also offered support to the charity - helping blind people. We will support this organisation to deliver technologies to the blind here and in our impoverished muslim countries, which will help improve the lives of many. The charity is lead by a brother who has remarkably beaten the odds in his own blindness, to become a hafiz of the Quran and now wishes to give such opportunities to others.

3) Al Fitrah's successful project 1Eid will aim to make 2012 a triumphant year by reviving the Sunnah in two additional major cities: Birmingham and Bradford. 1Eid is a revolution in the field of dawah to non muslims. It is making the celebration of Eid Universal. The 1Eid project has also broken records with the largest Eid prayer and celebration in UK. We aim to outdo ourselves yet again in London aiming for over 50,000 to attend in 2012 during the Olympics.

4) Al Fitrah will launch its much awaited project JamaTTimes.com. JamaTTimes.com is a truly a revolutionary internet experience which is expected to go viral. It is a social network constructed with mosques as the hub of the community enabling members that attend the same mosques to develop relationships, encouraging jamat and unity amongst muslims. This social network and mosque web portal is public driven and boasts extremely sophisticated and robust social networking tools making it a better alternative to Facebook.

JamaTTimes.com, is not only a social network, or a mosque info web portal, it is a place for discussion and debate and will soon host not only mosques and muslim members, but also churches and synagogues with Christian and jewish members to encourage interfaith dialogue in a beautiful online experience.

5) Al Fitrah will continue the Muslim Volunteers and Du’at fellowship (The MV&D) which is run by young volunteers for its second year. The project will focus on offering volunteers workshops, development plans and tarbiyyah courses as well as hosting two major conferences: "the Coming of Masiah" (in the Spring) and “In Memory of the Fallen" (in the Winter) as well as our annual seminar with our beloved Sheikh Salim al Amry.

If you would like to become a volunteer and engage, share your ideas, help deliver wonderful and sometimes life changing work, do something good for yourself and the community then please get in touch. All these projects belong to Allah, and we are here to serve Him through them. The more help we have the more beautifully we can serve Him, and that is our aim: To serve Allah and purify ourselves through our servitude.

"O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him!

We Hope to recieve your support and inshaAllah work together for our akhirah.

Wa Salaamu'Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

From all at the Al Fitrah Family

About Al Fitrah

Al Fitrah is an not for profit voluntary organisation serving for over 10 years with the aims of establishing itself as an academy for personal development in order to facilitate the development of peaceful, harmonious and mutually supportive communities through the understanding and practice of true Islam. We believe in the innate goodness that is instilled in every human being to distinguish between right and wrong and it is our social environment and external negative factors that has caused some to deviate from their natural state.

Al Fitrah (Fitrah meaning the natural disposition of good in all humans) maintains an ethos of bettering the individual self, taking the benefits to the family and the means utilized are events and activities which will enrich community. Over the past 9 years Al Fitrah has used a wide range of avenues to achieve this, including the following:
