Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have chosen Mind, the Mental Health Charity as my charity for this year. After such a difficult two years for everyone only now are we starting to understand just how much the pandemic has affected people's mental health. From young chidlren through to our older generations, the struggles have been real for many people. Thankfully, charities like Mind exist to provide information and support to those suffering with their mental health as well as for people caring for someone with mental health concerns.
Mind is a leading Mental Health Charity in England and Wales. It was founded in 1946 as the National Assocation for Mental Health (NAMH). It celebrated it's 75th anniversary in 2021. The range of services offered by Mind include supported housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending to name but a few. It also lobbies government and local authorities to improve mental health provision.
On 30th April I will be taking on the Isle of Wight Challenge. Due to my age I am only permitted to walk 25kms but in doing this I hope to raise lots of money to support Mind. Please donate just as much as you are able to, it all adds up and both Mind and myself are very grateful for your support.
