ALFA Education & Friends - 24 Days of Christmas
Fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer
Fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer
We want to share with you a very special event ALFA Education will be organising this December; ALFA Education & Friends - 24 Days of Christmas. This is something we are all really excited about and an excellent way to lift spirits whilst raising money for a very worthy cause, CLIC Sargent.
At this time of year ALFA Education would be organising a host of Christmas performances in recognition of our talented musicians and in support of local charities. Inevitably this year will be different, however we relish the challenge to create something magical that will bring happiness to the community and celebrate our talented schools, ensembles and leaders.
We will be presenting 24 festive video performances showcasing a variety of talent from our schools, corporate and community ensembles, and we hope you can join us.
Together we will be raising money for CLIC Sargent, a charity founded to better help children and young people with cancer and their families. CLIC Sargent shared a few words on the amazing work they do:
When the doctor says cancer, everything stops. For children and young people with cancer, the impact of a cancer diagnosis is especially cruel. You find yourself thrust into a new world you didn’t know existed before, with worries about not only your treatment, but about money, about your education or career, your social life, your friends, your family. Cancer effects everything – and this is before you even consider COVID19’s impact!
This is where CLIC Sargent steps in. We help through teams of dedicated social workers, who provide a range of emotional, practical and financial support to young people with cancer, and their families. Last year, our CLIC Sargent social workers in the North West helped over 600 children and young people with cancer, and their families. We work with young people with cancer to ensure young lives can continue to thrive, not just survive, during their treatment and beyond.
To stay updated and get involved with our 24 Days of Christmas event follow us on Facebook at 'ALFA Education Ltd.', on Twitter '@alfaeduk', and on Instagram at 'alfaeducation2020'. Performances will be shared on our YouTube channel 'ALFA Education'.
We hope you are as excited about our showcase event as we are, and look forward to seeing you!
Thank you,
The ALFA Team
