We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Three years ago I had my hair cut short to begin my PhD. I decided to let it grow until the end of my studies so that I could donate the hair to a charity that makes wigs for young people who have lost their hair through treatment for cancer or conditions such as alopecia. I also wanted to see how long it would get in 3 years and I have been very surprised with how fast it grew!

As well as donating approximately 15 inches of hair to the Little Princess Trust, I have been encouraged by friends and family to organise donations for a cause close to my heart. As many of you may know, I lost my mum to cancer in 2013 and I hope that any money I raise will go towards finding life saving treatments so that other families can enjoy more time with their loved ones.

October 13th was my Mum's birthday and so I intend to cut and donate my hair on or around this date. Pictures to follow!

Any amount you can spare is greatly appreciated, even just a like and share on social media makes a difference.

Thank you

Alex
