Story

Because I want your money. Here's why you should sponsor me for the 3 Peaks + 15 Peaks:

1) Track Record - I've done two of the three peaks before (see goofy snowdon pic below for proof)
2) I'm Matching All Donations Pound-for-Pound (for the first £500 donated, ie. first £1000 total)
3) It's 17 Peaks!!!

RBS Non-Core Division has been a charity partner of Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres since 2010.Maggie's provide places to go to for support and advice for people diagnosed with cancer, undergoing treatment through to post treatment and bereavement. They also welcome family and friends, who are often deeply affected by cancer too. They provide emotional support as well as respite, all free of charge for as long as their visitors need it. Consequently, they constantly need help with funding to continue the critical support they provide. More information on Maggie's can be found herehttp://www.maggiescentres.org/home.html.

Over the past two years we have raised over £80,000 andnow we’re hoping to top that with our biggest fundraiser yet the Non-Core Mountain Challenge. In mid June, a team of 52people fromNon-Core will hike their way up and down the Three Peaks the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, all in 24 hours. That will be enough for most of us, but 13 team members will carry on from the top of Snowdon to attempt the Welsh 3000, a far tougher trek across 15 peaks above 3000 feet in Wales also in 24 hours.

It’s a tough ask, but it’s for a great cause. Each of us is hoping to raiseat least£500 for Maggie’s. We are also contacting corporate partners who we've worked with over the past four years of Non-Core to ask for their support. As has been the case with the work in Non-Core, there have been a few big, newsworthy deals but without the ongoing support from a thousand smaller actions that take place each day, we would not have got the results we needed. This is no different, every donation, big and small, will contribute and bemuch appreciated by us, by Maggie's and by those people they support. Each pennywill help us carry on long after ourlegswant to give up.
