Story
My name is Alexis and this year I will be turning 20 years old and for myself this is my own little milestone, for my 20th birthday I will start to raise money towards a goal of £400.00 by the time I reach my 21st next year for Cardiac Risk in the Young in memory of my big sister Natasha Kay who unfortunately didn’t reach her 21st birthday after she collapsed unexpectedly on the 6th of July 2016 from an undiagnosed heart condition which our family would later learn was sudden arrhythmic death syndrome (SADS). Turning 20 will be the last age I get to share with Tash and I know that when I get to experience the years she didn’t, I want to create enough memories for both our lives. C-R-Y has been a charity close to our hearts from the beginning of our journey with grief and learning to live with loss, they have continued bringing families together and continue to do cardiac screenings all over the country including for people in my life since losing my sister.
I massively appreciate any donations towards my charity skydive x
- Alexis :)
Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk
