Anana was a great sprinter, and like me, not the biggest fan of distance running! After leaving school she went on to become a successful junior doctor and latterly worked for the Nigerian National Youth Service Corps. She sadly died from a subarachnoid haemorrhage two years ago, and is greatly missed. My best memories of her are from years of netball, hockey and athletics, in which she was fiercely competitive and infectiously happy. So this one's for you Nunu, from an Alloy! xx
