About the challenge 

I am fundraising for the MK Food Bank - the charity partner for my wonderful local cycling club - BCG.

I am Cycling the Rapha Festive 500 (think Brighton to Newcastle in distance) between Christmas Eve and NYE.

- If you could spare a fiver that would be great. 

- It’s a bloomin’ mission, averaging 18mph it will take me between 17 and 18 hours in total. Ouch.

- To make it tougher (I’m writing this at 55% of the challenge completed) the warmest it’s been during the challenge is 3 degrees: plus

-  I can’t leave my tier 4 area - nonetheless it’s going well.

About the MK Food Bank

Since launching Food Bank Xtra in response to the COVID-19 crisis, we have seen demand for our service increase four-fold and over the last months many thousands of emergency food parcels have been issued to individuals and families in crisis across the whole of Milton Keynes. We simply can't sustain this level of demand without the support of groups such as BCG, so on behalf of everyone at MK food Bank and our partner MK Council, a huge thank you for any support you can give.
