Story

No..your eyes do not deceive you, I am indeed running a half marathon (13.1 miles to be exact) on Sunday 27 September.  As most of you will know a year or so ago I went on a mega diet and lost 2 stone...most of this weight was lost through running.  I have entered 10k races before but this is my biggest challenge since losing all the weight!  And it doesn't get any easier!

I am doing this with my close friends Danny Burns (DB) and Dan Bunting (Bunts).  Although DB is now my ex-mate as he was the one who encouraged me to sign up to this ridiculous challenge.

But on a serious note I have always wanted to do the London marathon and along with DB we have both entered the ballot for next year so If I can complete this then I am half way there!

I am running for Leukemia Research which is a really worthwhile charity.  When I was 13 I lost a friend at school to Leukemia so this is for him.

Any donations would be gratefully received...I'll see you at the finish line...mines a double!

Alex

xx
