Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

We fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Story

Did you know that bowel cancer is the 2nd biggest killer in the UK?  I didn’t. Then my aunt and shortly after, my mum, were diagnosed with bowel cancer and we all learnt a lot very quickly.  My mum lost her fight and my aunt is living with the after effects. Beating Bowel Cancer is a charity that is dedicated to raising awareness of bowel cancer and improving early diagnosis and detection.

I’ll be 50 in 2013 and run for pleasure and to stay healthy. I've been very lucky to get a ballot place to run in the London Marathon (26.2 miles! - I must be slightly mad!) and I’d like to use this opportunity to support Beating Bowel Cancer in their work to save lives. Please add your support by sponsoring me.

Thanks

Alex
