Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In March 2014 my beautiful friend Hatti Sandall was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive soft tissue sarcoma. Throughout multiple major operations, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, she never gave up on fighting this horrendous disease and demonstrated the most incredible determination and positivity I have ever witnessed. Sadly on Tuesday 6th January 2015 we got the heartbreaking news that Hatti had passed away.
Hatti's bravery and selflessness over the last 10 months was truly inspiring as she campaigned for people to donate blood, reaching over 150 donations before Christmas, as well as raising awareness for charities such as Sarcoma UK to name just one. She will forever be a constant reminder to me that we must live life to the full and has inspired me to do what I can to continue all that she strived for.
On Sunday 22nd March I will be taking part in The Marsden March 2015 where I will be attempting to run the 14 miles between The Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea and The Royal Marsden in Sutton (I am not a natural runner to say the least so this is going to be a real challenge for me...). Hatti spent much of the last year being treated at the Marsden and for that reason I want to help them to continue helping others in the way they helped her. All funds raised go directly to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, so every pound donated will help to provide the best possible diagnosis, treatment and care for those affected by cancer.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate what you can to this worthy cause to help others like Hatti and their families. As they say, every penny counts and no amount is too little.
Thank you. X
