Story
Nearing the end of my high school education, I can reflect on just how important my schooling has been in allowing me to achieve the things I have. However, not everyone receives these same opportunities. As a basic human right, I believe everyone should have access to an education, as well as a safe environment to learn in.
For the reason, I am supporting United World Schools, which builds and runs schools in remote areas to provide an education to children that would otherwise not have any access to one. I will be fundraising for Tien School in Cambodia, which I have previously supported through my school's UWS partnership.
I hope to spread awareness of Tien School by running the Half Marathon and by challenging myself in order to support this honourable cause.
Any donations, big or small, will be greatly appreciated as every penny really does make a huge difference in a child's life, especially if it goes towards their education!!!
