This October I am braving the Great South Run 2013.  The furthest I've run to date is 10km and this is 10 miles (16.5km - a bit less than a half-marathon) so I'm more than a little nervous.

I've chosen to try to raise some funds for Macmillan Cancer. In the last eight months I've seen cancer affecting (and in some cases taking) the lives of friends/loved ones. So I want to run particularly in memory of two very wonderful people who are dearly missed, but also for all those who have been or will be affected by cancer.
